Travel is what drives me. I love new places, watching the people, trying to experience the lifestyle especially the food, wine and beer culture. I especially like being up early seeing a city or town waking up whether that’s on a walk or running.

I’m at one with the water whether that is on a large cruise ship or an expedition ship exploring remote destinations, hopping in zodiacs or kayaks. Getting into nature on the water or on bush trails either touring or in multi-sport events.

I love leading small group tours in NZ’s more remote areas, but always with some food and wine experiences thrown in! When I am in the office what I love best is designing bespoke itineraries for individuals or groups many of which include my passions mentioned above.

After more than 35 years in the travel industry, I still genuinely love what I do, especially when it comes to bringing people together.  I specialise in destination weddings and group travel, whether it’s a once in a lifetime celebration, a milestone birthday, or a meaningful family gathering.

Weddings, in particular should feel joyful from beginning to end, not overwhelming.  My role is to take the pressure off and make the travel side of things feel easy, seamless and thoughtfully handled.  I work closely with each couple to create arrangements that reflect their vision, while also making sure their guests fell looked after every step of the way.

For me, it’s personal. I care about every detail as if it were my own event and I take the time to understand what matters most to the people I work with.  Seeing everything come together and knowing everyone can simply enjoy the moment, that’s what makes it all worthwhile.

I specialise in high‑end leisure and complex itineraries, drawing on deep industry knowledge and many years of both leisure and corporate travel experience to design journeys that feel seamless from start to finish.

Travelling to the UK and Europe in my early 20’s ignited a love for travel, and I came back to New Zealand and completed my travel training in 1993. I now have extensive experience in both corporate and leisure travel, and after 30 years in the travel industry I am still just as passionate about travel! Having explored many destinations around the globe, I understand first-hand what makes a trip truly unforgettable – whether it’s a seamless business itinerary or a dream vacation getaway.

Hi! My name is Julia, and I am a new addition to the Bon Voyage Cruises & Travel team, having joined at the end of March. I’ve just  graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Tourism Management.

Whilst I am at the beginning of my travel career, I am undertaking training and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the world of cruise and travel planning with Bon Voyage.

I have always had a very strong passion for travel and exploring new destinations, cultures and experiences, and I am excited to turn this passion into my career. I look forward to growing within this industry and assisting clients with their exciting future travel adventures.
